Hanging out at home....

Image
Didn't do anything special today, just hung around the house. That is some of our most fun days though. Matt went out this morning for a little target shooting, so Cayleigh and I hung out and colored most of the morning. It is one of the first things she has learned to sit still for. Also, Santa brought her a rain coat and she decided this morning she HAD to wear it in the house, under her jammies. Guess you never know when it could rain and she wanted to be prepared! Playing with her old baby! Rain coat, thanks Santa! Color time! Having a splash! Dancing! Dancing with the zebra!

Happy new year!!

Hope everyone had a happy and safe new year. Pam came over and we had a crazy, drunk filled night of alcohol and strippers, LOL! NOT! The 4 of us dined on take out and hung out and played with Cayleigh and watched tv, with Matt and me STRUGGLING to stay awake! Hung out the next day and all in all had a really good time. It's nice to have friends you don't have to entertain or clean up before they come! Trying to snap her fingers.... Her pigtails... Her new years necklace... Her new year's horn... Getting into trouble for who knows what... Helping us clean... eating a popsicle with dad... Playing with me.. Today my dad came and we have just been pretty lazy, as the three of us woke up with the beginnings of a cold. ugh. getting ready to see grandad.... "cleaning" out her kitchen....

A day at the park...

We had a fun day yesterday, deciding since we have been so busy lately, we would make it a "Cayleigh day". Played for a bit in the morning and went to the Hagerstown City park today since it was in the 50's. Cayleigh adores seeing the ducks and squirrels and the rest of nature! Her new "hanging" spot while watching Blue's Clues Playing with her piggy set Halfway dressed being silly Happy to see the ducks! We brought the ball, she loves to throw it! Looking at the swan that Matt eventually had to be a bit physical with! Momma with Cayleigh looknig at the ducks.. Driving... getting so good at running around the play lot... swinging... going down the big slide, no fear! VERY unhappy to leave!

Learning to feed herself....

So I've been reading my Parents magazine and apparently Cayleigh is a little behind in the feeding herself department. I think it has alot to do with the fact that she would rather throw her food on the floor and that she isn't a big fan of messes. We've been lettinbg her feed herself for the most part and keeping her hands clean along the way(she whines "guck" if there is a speck on her fingers). Her other setback are the crappy forks and sppons they come out with for kids. They don't scoop well, and the forks don't pierce the food(I get that they shouldn't be too sharp, but they don't poke through noodles!) Here are some pics of her learning to feed herself, warning, it is MESSY!!! One of her first feedings! eating carrots for the first time.. her first biter biscuit! mango slushie at the beach! spaghetti... pizza! eating applesauce!

More family time...

This weekend we enjoyed the company of Matt's dad, stepmom and brother. We had a lovely time, and Cayleigh had a blast playing with Thomas. It is so neat to watch her play with other kids, she looks up to them so much! PS-Once this holiday season is over, I promise to post less pictures! Waiting for everyone to arrive, playing with her new Brobee... Dancing with Brobee! Playing in her new kitchen! Showing her Uncle Thomas to the elevator! Sitting with her mom-mom.. Showing Thomas her little people She is listening to every word spoken! Cayleigh with her pop-pop....
