Slow cooker chicken taco soup...

Image
This is SOOO good!! I really won't post recipe on here unless I think it deserves 5 out of 5 stars, but this deserves 6! This is very similar to the tortilla soup at chevy's....You can note that I added avacado and used chicken broth in place of beer, and kidney beans in place of chili beans....Thanks allrecipes.com for another easy but scrumptious meal! Oh and it was a bit spicy for Cayleigh, but she did eat the avacado's and beans out of it, draining it for her helped! Slow cooker Chicken taco soup... 1 onion, chopped 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans 1 (15 ounce) can black beans 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer 2 (10 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning 3 whole skinless, boneless chicken breasts shredded Cheddar cheese (optional) sour cream (optional) crushed tortilla chips (optional) DIRECTIONS Place the onion, chili beans, black beans, corn...

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 4 year anniversary. We drive each other crazy... but we are crazy about each other... A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year. ~Paul Sweeney

Shocker....

We went to *gasp* another park on Monday. It sounds funny, but with a two year old, it is her favorite thing to do! We got together with Mandy, Bobby and Sadie and enjoyed the park, and had a picnic lunch...I've said it before, but it is so nice hanging out with people who make their child #1 in their life. I hope that people can say the same about us. They have such a sweet little girl, who is really developing some manners I hope she'll pass onto our kid, lol!! We had such a nice time just enjoying the day and the moment. I loved how she was squeezing Sadie's arm! Later that day, we went to Mamaw and Grandad's to enjoy time with everyone while Kristin was home. Cayleigh adores her aunts. She is really just so blessed to have them, they love her so much!

Parks...

We went to 2 parks today...We started at one, but due to it being too crowded, made our way to a park close to our house which is always empty. Oh and did I mention I saw leaves beginning to change??! I'm so excited, I LOVE fall, especially in this area...Cool weather, fairs, pumpkin patches, my birthday!?! We fed ducks again, and she just loves it. She tells the ducks to "be nice" if they are quacking too loud or fighting over the food :) I love this little girl. We headed to the park closer to our house and enjoyed having nobody around! Here's my favorite picture of her...Well I LOVE these next two and can't choose, so my favorite 2... Did I mention Alycia hung out with us Sunday? It was nice to have a day with her since she is always the busiest.... Here she is after Matt spun her as fast as he could... And to end the blog, a picture of her "cheese" face....
