ONE YEAR!!!!!!

Today is my one year anniversary of beginning this journey as a blogger!!! One year and 222 posts later, woohoo!! While it has been sometimes a bit time consuming, I am so glad I have started this! I took a few minutes to look at my life one year ago and it is really something how much Cayleigh has changed in one whole year. Here is a look at 12/4/2008 Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read it. While I do this mostly for me, I love the fact that others enjoy it too. It does seem I have gotten off track at the daily posts, but my hope is to keep up with a minimum of at least 2 posts per week.

Banana pudding....

I've been feeling a bit mopey lately(think I'm just feeling lonely not having friends in this town and the fact it gets dark so early!), so I made another banana pudding like I made on Thanksgiving. Banana pudding=happiness :) Now onto the recipe! I promise this will not disappoint!! 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix 3 cups cold milk (I used skim) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 4 bananas, sliced 1/2 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers Directions In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in condensed milk, pudding mix, cold milk and vanilla until smooth. Fold in 1/2 of the whipped topping. Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish with vanilla wafers. Arrange sliced bananas evenly over wafers. Spread with pudding mixture. Top with remaining whipped topping. Chill.

Family time

I must begin by saying, I think I am getting old. Nothing sounds better than shutting this computer and snuggling in my chair for a nap, ahh, but to you 5 devoted friends I have reading this, I will show my dedication. Matt and I were lucky enough to both have 4 day weekends(me 5 ;) )and decided to take advantage of it and get some things done around the house, aka declutter ourselves. I am nowhere near as organized or clean as my mom, but striving for it is a start. It feels SO much better to have clothes put away in drawers when you get ready for work, not unfolded in laundry baskets. We put away our camping gear(as if I'd be outside in this weather!), organized Cayleigh's room, getting out all of the baby toys(sniffle, sniffle) to make way for the bazillion things santa got for her, etc. We were also able to spend time with our families, which was so nice. We also got our christmas tree and put up all of our decorations!! It is so warm in here with all of the decoration, t...
