Yesterday we were planning on going to the Frederick fair to take Cayleigh to see the animals...Looked online an hour before and saw that section was closed so we took a ride to the park up the street from us and played for a bit.. I adore this pic!! Matt is a good daddy. He doesn't let the fact that he is 6 foot 7 get in the way of playing with Cayleigh...It is a hoot to watch him try to get in and out of things though and had to share!! You see, at first glance, there is nothing funny about him in the tunnel.... Until you watch him try to get out of the tunnel. Turns out, he is as much of a kid as our 2 year old! :) We went on a leaf hunt... If you made it to the bottom of another park post(which is basically all I blog about anymore), I will throw myself under the bus and show you a pic that he took of me...

Today was a blah day for me. I am still recovering from this cold/allergy issue and just felt like making it a pajama day with Cayleigh. We actually had a really good day, with not one time out the entire day! She wore underwear the entire day, and only had 2 accidents, both being my fault because I was steam cleaning carpets and couldn't get to her in time! I also made oatmeal raisin cookies and since I had browning bananas and a recipe for chocolate chip banana muffins that had similar ingredients to the cookies, I went ahead and made them too! Cookies-5 stars Muffins-3.5 stars Here are the recipes... oatmeal raisin cookies I used 1/2 cup white sugar and they were absolutely sweet enough! Also upped the cinnamon to 1tsp. INGREDIENTS ( Nutrition ) 3/4 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup white sugar 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 3/4 cups rolled oats 1 c...

Let's see...When I last posted about gymnastics, things were going great. Here she is last week with the teacher.... Right before she refused to do anything except the trampoline. I tried to have a positive attitude going in to today's class, I really did. I brought Matt with me as back-up to watch her from afar. Today's class was no better. I don't just think it was Cayleigh. I became increasingly annoyed with the class. Below is their description of the class. "Ages 1-3 years, share quality time with your child as they enjoy a colorful environment of fun and fitness. you help them as they learn fundamental motor skills through games and music. " I think that lumping 1-3 year olds is not a good idea unless the teacher is willing and capable of working on different levels. This was not the case of our teacher. She did decent with the 3 year olds, but for the younger ones she just seemed hassled by their capabilities. She would constatly praise the olde...
