3 year update

I took Cayleigh to her 3 year appointment yesterday. She is 32lbs and 37.5 inches tall. She is in the 50% for her height, and the 60% for her weight. I'm glad she has tapered off in the height department-I knew she would be taller than me, but I was hoping she wouldn't be as tall as her daddy! :)

Sickies

We had a sick-o this weekend. Well that's not entirely true. My mom called me Thursday to tell me that Cayleigh had a low grade fever and was glassy eyed and didn't want to play at the park. A 3 year old who doesn't want to play at the park=something wrong! I left work and brought her home, put her down for a nap and alas, she was back to normal. Or so I thought. When Matt came home, he felt her and said she was warm and sure enough, 100.5. Weird, because she seemed perfectly fine. This is basically what we went through all weekend. You think when your kid is sick and tired that it's a bad thing, but I ask you, how hard do you think it is to make a kid who acts perfectly fine with a 3 year old's energy lay down and relax? I spent the whole weekend telling her to lay down and watch TV, pretty backwards, huh? So far, it was gone today(Monday), but we'll see. She has her 3 year appointment Wednesday, so if it isn't gone by then, she will at least be see...

Poverty Meal

By the evening we were feeling pretty lazy and not feeling much like cooking, and I stumbled across food.com. When I saw the title "poverty meal", I thought it sounded like my life and thought I'd give it a try :) While it is definitely a no-frills meal, it was definitely cheap, quick, easy, and quite yummy!! I substituted a can of diced tomatoes since I only had one can of stewed tomatoes on hand, but all in all you can't really mess this recipe up...Oh and I used Mozz. cheese. 1 large onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained 2 (16 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes 1 (16 ounce) cans water 8 ounces elbow macaroni, raw salt pepper parmesan cheese 1Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until translucent. 2Brown ground beef a...

‎"At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent." This certainly pertains to my life right now. I hope in my life that Cayleigh never feels unimportant, insecure, or forgotten by anyone, but particularly her parents.
