Here is the 50% me...

Image
So I put a meter that determined Cayleigh looks 50% like me, much to the dismay of many! I found proof at my mom's and more to come once I visit my grandparents, that she did come from me too! I sported knee high's pretty well, huh??!! Matt's baby pic to come soon, but do we even need proof of that? :)

21 months...

Cayleigh is 21 months today. People often ask why I don't just say 2, well, when you have a 21 month old, you will understand. You don't want to add a second to their little life. When she is 2, I will call her 2 :). A little lovin' from my kiwi.... Today was uneventful. It was hot outside, but Cayleigh still wanted to go "ooouuuutt". We played outside. We took a walk(no pics, been there, done that I figured). We had lunch on the porch, and played for a bit. We went to the park. When she swings, I must swing. As you can tell by her point to "my swing" :) Daddy came home and we went to Moe's(mexican), which seems to be her favorite. She LOVES the quesadilla and dips it in sour cream. We took a nice ride and went to get ice cream, another favorite of hers. Forgot to add, Matt abruptly stopped the car and made a u-turn. He saw an albino deer and it was a really neat sight, I'd never seen or heard of one! Oh and yesterday, we had delicious crabs than...

Exploring....

Yesterday morning, thanks to the awesome advice of Glenna, we got a bowl full of water and "washed" our farm animals. On her blog, she said who needs a water table when you have a bowl of water, and it was oh so true! Cayleigh had alot of fun, until she flipped it all over herself. Oh well, next time I'll put a bathing suit on her! Showing off her clean piggy, and giving a BIG smile! Taking our evening walk. We've been trying to do this daily, as she loves searching for rocks, flowers, cigarette butts, rusty nails. Sigh. I had to snap a shot of this. Cayleigh LOVES rocks and will pick them up and hand them to you. I envisioned a long night after seeing that big pile!!!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sandwiches

4 lb pork shoulder 20 oz root beer 1 bottle BBQ sauce Put pork in crockpot. Pour root beer over pork. Cook on low 6-7 hours. Drain, shred pork. Mix BBQ sauce with pork and let warm in the crockpot. Serve!!! Made this last night and Matt thought it was the best he has ever had. We don't get out much!!

Wordless Wednesday...

The second half....

Sunday! Her first braids! I was so surprised when I started braiding that it actually was long! I guess since she has such curly hair, I don't realize how long it is getting. Having fun at the park up the street.... Going up the ladder with daddy, at the top with mommy, and at the bottom with Pammy! She loves the park and would pitch a tent and live there if she could! ............ We went to the city park today and I'll refrain from complaining, but will say it's ignorant people certainly didn't dissapoint. We walked and then got a snow cone and let her play at the park. Eating with daddy and hanging with momma! My little poser!

Part 1 of our weekend...

Friday night we went to mom's for dinner and Cayleigh and Mandy took a swing... And then Grandad asked her to go swimming, even though the pool was freezing! Of course, she'd do anything with Grandad. Think she minded that it was freezing? Not so much. Saturday we enjoyed the day with my dad. We drove down to Baltimore and visited our favorite pizza restaurant, Squires, mmmm! We went to a park my dad used to take me to as a kid. She met a 3 year old she just wanted to follow all day! Seems Cayleigh enjoyed the park as much as I used to! We went to Friendly's for ice cream, and let her have an ice cream with sprinkles all to herself! We went to the mall and spent way too much money at the disney store, hope nobody in Baltimore is looking for Minnie mouse stuff. You won't find any, it all made it in our cart! Sorry for the mass of pictures, there will be today's post tomorrow!
