My family of three

The adenovirus , a bacterial infection, and still a double ear infection. I took her back to the doctor's Friday, since her fever was still going well over 100 with the motrin / tylenol combo and we were on the last day of the Z-pack. She thinks she has the adenovirus -which is causing the cough, throwing up phlegm(which she is doing about twice a day still), congestion, and pink eye. She did give her augmenten for the double ear infection, the bad ear was starting to get better and the ear that was not bad Monday was very bad). She did say that if she isn't significantly better that she would need a chest xray and blood work Tuesday to test for pneumonia. I gave her meds Friday afternoon and she took about a 4 hour nap! She actually slept the whole night and only woke up with a 100 fever instead of the normal 103-104. So far today less coughing, and a lighter fever, and currently napping. I am just praying she continues to improve, I am pretty sure I can't handle...

This house is irritable, sick, impatient and sleep deprived. We are headed back to the doc's today, as Cayleigh is showing no signs of improving. She has a nonstop fever, coughing, throwing up mucus(sorry!), stuffy/runny nose, and now I think she has pink eye. She is still tugging at her ears and we are on the last day of her meds. She's constantly waking up and unable to sleep, which means she isn't the only exhausted one in the house. Pair that with a funeral yesterday and needless to say I'm on edge. You've all been warned.

Yes-all caps is needed. First off, our family lost a great lady Saturday evening. "Gahmy" passed away at 93. She will be greatly missed and was really a wonderful person. She was graceful, classy and beautiful and thats how I will always remember her. Secondly, my kiwi girl is sick. She's been sick since Friday, but man, when this kid gets sick, she gets really sick. I ALWAYS regret saying we've had a relatively healthy winter. Why do I say that?? I took off today and took her to the doctor's thinking he'd send me away with a dose of "give it a couple more days" and a 'script of "it's just a virus", so you can imagine my surprise when he said it was an upper respiratory infection, possibly bronchitis and a double ear infection.
