family

Today I am thankful for my a beautiful weekend, spending time with my family.

Pizza hut

Thankful was hard to think of tonight. I'm thankful when I went to pizza hut they dropped my first pizza, made it again, then got the second pizza stuck in the oven door. An hour later, and we finally had one boxed up. *note sarcasm* Well since I really do have to say something I'm thankful for-at least they took the pizza off our bill and sent us home with a new one(3rd time's a charm right?). I'm thankful for that.

Halloween..

Better late than never right?? Cayleigh absolutely loved halloween this year. She called "trick or treat"-"tickle feet", which was absolutely priceless. We went to my mom's and spent about an hour, and I think Cayleigh could have gone a good bit longer, but it was cold! I think the only glitch was that people kept calling her a ballerina( I think because her tutu lent way to be a ballerina, but I didn't want a dress dragging outside on the ground) Oh well, you can't win them all! Oh and today I am thankful for my home. Not just my home, but my country. I am thankful I am able to live in a place that believes in freedom. I am also thankful to all that have served, are serving, and will serve.

Family...

Today I am thankful for my health. Like everyone, I find myself grip and complain about little things, my ankle gives out, I'm tired and my back hurts often, but in the grand scheme of things, my body was able without issue to create my little girl. So many people go through so much to conceive and I am so thankful that was not something I had to go through.

I am really going to catch up on this blog, I have so much to write about! We've been pretty busy watching Alycia's varsity soccer team thriving in the playoffs-the haven't lost a game all season! Then there is the pumpkin patch, halloween-I'm feeling overwhelmed, but I have a 5 day weekend coming up so I'll catch up soon! For today, I'll just be thankful. (a sneak peek into halloween!) Today I am thankful for my amazing little three year old, Cayleigh Noelle. I have not had a dull moment in my life since she was born. I am sure she has taught me more than I could possibly teach her. To watch her learn, grow, and enjoy life has truly been God's biggest blessing to me. I wonder sometimes, how I lived 24 years without her. She makes me so proud and I wonder how I got so lucky to be her mommy. We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher

30 Days of Thanks

Image
I keep seeing 30 days of thanks all around the internet. I've been in a bit of a blogging funk and all around funk lately, so though I am 8 days late, I thought I'd give it a shot. Today I am thankful for my marriage. I am thankful to have someone that is so well paired for me. We definitely drive each other crazy most days, but he lets me "drive" most days, likes my cooking, takes out the trash, is a great daddy, is patient with my nonstop chatter as soon as he opens the door, loves my family like his own, and even does dishes. It's hard to believe we found each other 11 years ago in high school. I definitely take our marriage and for granted most day, but I am so thankful to have him. Wow, this feels pretty good. This is sure to make me feel better by December!! :)
