2 songs...

to listen to if you are a parent. It doesn't matter what kind of music you like/don't like-the words just hit you like a ton of bricks(and if you are me, they make you have an ugly cry moment). Let them be little-Billy Dean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flRmOTwpv0s "So let them be little, 'Cause they're only that way for a while. Give 'em hope, give them praise, Give them love every day. Let 'em cry, let 'em giggle, Let 'em sleep in the middle, Oh, but let them be little. " I Hope you Dance-Lee Ann Womack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV-Z1YwaOiw "I hope you still feel small When you stand by the ocean Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance " and a 3rd which isn't quite as sob inducing, but oh how I love this song. Never Grow Up-Taylor Swift http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiLp1AqtIwI " To you, everything'...

Little All Stars!

Tuesday was Cayleigh's last class. I'm hoping they have it again in the fall-she loved it!! She was SO much better behaved than in the dance class(I just shuddered thinking back to that class) She truly enjoyed learning about all of the different sports and th0ugh she did like all of the sports-she definitely preferred basketball, soccer and t-ball the most. As parents, our favorite part was how hands on we got to be. I mostly let it be daddy-daughter, since I get time with her on my days off. Bowling! Look at that form! Goalie :) Basketball Laces out! Running with Coach Phil At the end, they always put their hands together and yelled "go little all stars!"

Playdate and pain.

This weekend was painfully fun. Painful in the sense that I was in agonizing pain for a good portion with a toothache and fun in the sense I tried not to lay down and die because of it. Saturday we got together with Summer and let the girls take the barbie jeep for a spin. It didn't take long for her to get the hang of it. The most shocking part was how well they shared and took turns driving it! Starting out slow... In the end having a blast!!

An average day off...

As most of you know, I only work part time. Some weeks, I feel like my time with her is never enough, so hat's off to those of you who can pull off a full time gig. Most of my days off, we try to get outside, but today was a rainy day. Our day started off with a little "tee-viv"(TV). Her favorite shows these days are Chuggington and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. From there, it was time to have breakfast and start learning! We learned about letters for a little while and counted some things around in the house. We identified some colors and shapes as well. Next up, it was playing...First up, dress up! Funny girl! Then she put on a show for me....Her favorite song is by Rihanna and I won't disclose the name of it since this is a family blog. Ahem. She heard it edited on the radio, but I didn't download the right version so I only let her listen to the first 15 seconds of it that are appropriate. Sigh. Next was scooby.... hairstyling... and strawberry shortcake...
