My family of three

So we took Cayleigh to Kristin's soccer game yesterday afternoon. It was 50 degrees and sprinkling. She ended up napping in my arms under a blanket with ample clothing on so we just stayed out in it...She was completely fine all day long and even after the game ran out on the field to get Kristin(it was her 18th birthday!). We come home and within 30 minutes she starts acting clingy. I checked her temp and she was 102. Gave her motrin and made soup and grilled cheese...She threw up while eating it. It was her very first time throwing up, and so sad!! I feel absolutely awful. She had NO signs of being ill earlier and while the weather was crappy out, she was bundled up napping... Luckily after she got sick she asked for toast and ate a piece of toast and 3 crackers and seemed much more lively...The fever continued through the night getting to 104.1. Today it has tapered off, but is still averaging 101. Luckily her spirits are good, you wouldn't even know she is sick. PS-Happy b...

Yesterday Cayleigh and I baked some yummy bread and I thought I'd share. She loves cooking with her momma, and listens very well with my directions. The only thing I changed was I only used 3/4 cup of oil and added 1/2 cup of walnuts. 3 cups all-purpose flour 3 eggs 2 cups white sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 2 cups applesauce 1 cup raisins (optional) 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 cup sour cream DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Beat together eggs, sugar, and oil. Blend in applesauce, and then sour cream or buttermilk. Mix in flour, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon. Stir in raisins. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 80 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

Monday was Columbus Day and I was off so Cayleigh and I decided to meet up with my friend Melissa and her daughter, Summer at the pumpkin patch. Summer and Cayleigh are the exact same age, both born on the same day! We had a really good time! Cayleigh and Summer enjoyed all of the activities and could have stayed there much longer than we did! We looked at animals.. Rode "animals"... Duck water races... compared heights.... Went down the slide... Jumped in the corn pit, which they LOVED!! Cayleigh said she had "corn in her butt" all the way home. ahem . Ah, then there was the Jumping-Jumping Pillow, as they call it. It looked fun, so we gave it a try...Holy goodness, that thingknocks you all over the place. I can only imagine the faces of the people watching us....Somehow I still managed to nab a few pics :) Before we left, we let them look at the pumpkins...Cayleigh wanted this one, but we left with a small gourd... Looks like I'm not keeping my promise to myself to update every other day :( Unfortunately, blogging can become a bit of a chore. If you don't keep up with it, the pictures and stories just pile up and don't seem appealing to get into because you know it is going to take a large chunk of time! Anyway, here's what we've been up to... I went to Amanda and Alycia's soccer game earlier this week. Take note I said "I". Matt and Cayleigh stayed home, as 4 hours of soccer would have been WAY too much for her. Cayleigh was NOT happy about the decision though. Here are a few pics of the girls..They played VERY hard.
