my days off...

Since having Cayleigh, I've only been working part time. Some days are filled with errands- grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning. Though these thing are important, I try really hard to remember the real reason that I stay home with her-and that is to be with her. Friday I packed a picnic lunch and we went to the park and explored all aspects of it. I tried to go at her pace and do what she wanted-despite the odd looks I got from the parents who just sat on their cell phones and watched their kids play. No judgements passed though on my part-it very well could be the only down time they get! PS-please excuse the crappy coloring-I unknowingly took it off automatic and got really grainy pics! Sigh.

The start of spring...

We had a beautiful weekend-sunny skies, gentle breeze, mid 70's. It was literally as if God himself asked me what my version of the perfect day was. We had Kristin, Amanda and Marissa visiting for the weekend so we packed a picnic lunch and headed outside to walk on a trail and play at a playground. Cayleigh did much better than I thought, as her listening skills are not her high point. We walked about 4 miles and she got a piggy back ride from Amanda for @ a mile of it. She's her daddy's girl... She can lift them all up-impressive right??! LOVE that kid :) After our walk, we did meet some new "friends"! Kristin and Marissa unknowingly were standing right on these rocks minutes before! YIKES!

Growing up...

What makes a 12 year old the happiest girl on earth?? Yes folks, she got her very own cell phone courtesy of one pretty cool big sister and brother :)
