My family of three

We woke up today with not a thing in mind to do, except to do some deep cleaning because we rarely have a weekend with nothing to do. We did just that, got really into cleaning and got a call from my mom asking if we got snow...I said, "oh I can't imagine, the weather guy said there was NO chance of us getting anything..." and I looked outside and sure enough we had @ 1/2 inch! It's not that much, but because nobody was prepared for it, the roads were AWFUL. We played outside for a bit and decided to venture to Sam's club just for the fun of it (and because I had a recipe for a roasted chicken I will post later about) and came across several accidents and were almost hit twice. Mark that on my list of not so smart things to do, not everyone has 4x4. We came home and played a bit longer and then came in for some hot choc, err , hot cocoa, as Cayleigh preferred to call it. She loves Little Bear and made snow angels outside and then wanted to drink hot cocoa like...

I *think* we have a healthy house again! Cleaning and sterilizing tomorrow and trying to stay warm, the high is only 20 degrees and it will feel like 11. It currently feels like 6 degrees according to the weather channel. I fear for my next electric bill. Seriously.

I've been plagued with a lovely stomach flu, which made it's debut Tuesday night. I have been feeling absolutely blah! :( I'm feeling a bit better this evening and am able to eat now, but I'm ready for this bug to LEAVE! I HATE when Cayleigh watches so much TV, but there really isn't much else we can do...She has been an absolute angel about everything, no temper tantrums, and listening to my every word, she has pity on her momma! We have been watching all of the princess movies and she adores them, especially Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. She has also been in love lately with puzzles. She could play them for hours. We have the peg puzzles, but they are too easy for her now. I recently bought a 9 piece and several 25 piece puzzles and she had a hard time them but she seemed so focused. We would just help her along the way, but this past week she has been doing the 9 piece with no help and the 25 piece with very little help. I...

This kid cracks me up! She is ALWAYS taking my drink from the table, and this time she scored the jackpot-my diet soda. :)

Since the weather has been a bit more mild(compared to the teen's it had been for a few weeks), I've been trying to get outside once a day to play, for both our sake. She really needs that time to run and get some exercise and I really need that sunlight and movement. Here are a few pics I've taken over the last few days... Not in the mood for a picture.
