My family of three

So I've mentioned before how I don't like this town. I'm glad we are renting because I am honestly not sure I could live here and raise a family here. Don't get me wrong parts of it are beautiful, like the park. We went there yesterday and took a really nice walk around the pond and went to the kids section and let Cayleigh play. There are cherry trees blooming, ducks quacking, the sun shining off the water. Sounds serene almost right? HA! If you can get by the people smoking everywhere, letting their kids run like crazy and the parents too busy on their cell phone. Then there was the lady who was screaming, not yelling, but screaming at her kid, and when we merely glanced over to make sure everything was ok, she screamed at us to stop staring! Sigh. We did manage to have a nice time, but people just never cease to amaze me. Sorry if this post sounds whiny, but if you live here, you get it. feeding ducks with daddy. No ducks came... but these did! Looking for birdies an...

Guess what the weather is like today??! RAIN! Ugh, sigh, sniffle, whine. I'm SO sick of rain. It doesn't stop us from doing things, but it just sets the mood for the day. We went and did a little shopping with my mom, who bought her the cutest bikini. Thanks mom! Came home and have been playing play doh since. Cayleigh is blowing on the play doh like it is hot! She learned the word "pete" today from Mickey Mouse clubhouse. We're just waiting for Daddy and Aunt Pammy to come over now.... The many faces of Cayleigh.....

I want to write a little about why I decided to start a blog. I think it's important to let people know that I am not in any way trying to show off my kid or try to show off my life. The biggest reason I started my blog was so that my grandparents and any one who didn't live close to me could still be a part of our lives. Also, since I don't have a baby book, I wanted to document the best time in my life. I have a terrible memory and one of my biggest fears is that I will one day forget my happy days. I take alot of pictures and while some people may think it is over the top, please don't come to this blog. The quality of my pictures aren't top notch, but that isn't overly important to me. It is the people in the picture that make it amazing anyway. A better post later....

Hope everyone has had a happy and safe Easter. We had a really nice, relaxing one. Cayleigh woke at 6:15am this morning and seemed to enjoy her basket. If I had to name her favorite thing aside from candy, it would have been her flute, she really liked that thing! We dined on cinnamon rolls, yes even Cayleigh, which was such the treat for her. We just relaxed all morning and went to Grammy and Grandad's after a bit. We ate again, and did an egg hunt, which by now she is a pro at! Cayleigh took a small nap and we helped clean up their yard, which looks really nice now, and were glad to do it. Had a nice dinner, aside from Cayleigh throwing her plate overboard and only agreeing to eat oranges(very unusual for her, she's lucky it was Easter!) We are so blessed to have the people in our life love our daughter so much. I'll spare naming each person, but you know who you are. It's not about buying gifts, and taking her places. It's getting to know her and taking the time ...
