Easter egg hunt, part 2...

Image
**Warning** LOTS OF PICS AHEAD FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS!! We got up this morning and for the 4th night this week, Cayleigh slept in her bed! We are so happy she is transitioning into this on her own, and that she finally feels ready for it. We didn't want to make it an issue and make her do it, or make her feel unwelcome in our bed. We just want her to get the best night's sleep, wherever that is. I consulted my mom a few months ago after reading and hearing that this could be a problem getting her to sleep in her own bed and my mom said "it's only as big of a deal as you make it". After 5 kids, I figured I'd give that advice a try and it has really been paying off. We really try not to compare her to other's stats, as she is her own person and will progress at her own pace. It started a few weeks ago, 1x/week, last week 2x/week and this week. Here's hoping it isn't just a phase! The day started out raining and we strongly considered canning this Eas...

Easter egg hunt, part 1...

Today the community we live in(aka, the people who we rent from) hosted an Easter Party. They had an egg hunt, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, and a nice lunch. I have to admit as much as I complain about this place, it was really nice and thought out! Cayleigh had an absolute blast. This was her first time doing an egg hunt and she was a pro. She actually found the "golden egg". I should be honest and say that she didn't find it, but we were given a head's up on where it was due to a random woman walking around a 3-4 month old grabbing eggs. Honestly. She actually picked one up from where Cayleigh was getting one and I tripped her. Just kidding but I really did want to. I guess it bugged the staff so they gave us a hint as to it's whereabouts. She won a $10 gift card to Walmart so I am going to save it for a rainy day when she is bored with her toys and let her go shopping! :) She was also very excited to see the "neigh-neigh's" although the...

Last couple days....

Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-she does not know how to work the remote, but it looks like she does! Coloring on our porch yesterday, it turned out to be a decent day... Taking a walk this morning...

Easy day....

Not much going on today. I had off so we hung out around the house. Cayleigh seemed tired today so I pretty much let her watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all morning. She doesn't watch it the whole time, but it bugs her if she can't go to it when she feels like it! I did finish up her easter basket, which couldn't be more full if I tried! Here she is eating a banana with no help for the first time!

Gorgeous day...

Yesterday has been an absolutely gorgeous day. We did some spring cleaning this morning, which always feels good getting done and went to Amanda's soccer game. She is really good! Cayleigh played with Marissa and took a walk with Matt and watched the game a bit. Cayleigh hates summer hats as much as she did last year and is not good at keeping them on, much to my dismay.
