PLEASE go away rain!

Enough with the rain. I know, I know, April showers bring May flowers. I'm sick of the rain. Today it absolutely poured all morning, and by the afternoon, Cayleigh was bored. She had played with her farm animals, made me breakfast in her kitchen, taken a nap, watched mickey mouse and she just wanted to go outside. I saw my friend Amanda's posts about letting Sadie jump in puddles and I thought, what the heck? We waited until it stopped raining and headed out, raincoat and rainboots and all. At first she didn't really know what to do, so I showed her. She was very unimpressed at first, and I will admit, the puddles were small. I had hoped for minimal mess! I decided to find her a big puddle and picked her up and stuck her in it. I think the light in her eyes was brighter than the sun. She proceeded to splash, jump, roll(yes ROLL) for 30 minutes until she was a sopping wet mess. You can imagine how fun it was convincing her to come in. Caught the hang of it pretty quick! She ...

So since my foot is throbbing as we speak, I will start with that. It stinking hurts to slam your foot in a door! :) It is swollen but I think it will be ok. I can't believe it is already April! Makes me thrilled that the weather is getting warmer, but sad that this summer our precious angel will be 2 already. We are excited to be going to Florida in June to see my grandparents and introduce Cayleigh to them, I sure hope she behaves herself while we endure the 18 hour car ride. Yesterday we did nothing. My ankle was sore and it was raining so we just played at the house and watched some tv, it was nice actually. Today I worked until 11:30 and picked up Cayleigh and had lunch with my dad. After he left we played with bubbles and she drove her scooter around outside...
Well I was going to poat a new blog last night, but I slammed my ankle in a door REALLY hard. Oh it hurt so bad, I cried so hard that Cayleigh cried for me. I will post later today, I am savoring the fact that she has slept through the night in her crib for 2 nights in a row, ahhh...

After 3 days of crappy weather, we decided to go to the park, even if it was soggy. We put her in some old clothes and rain boots and jacket and let her explore. She absolutely loved going on the slide, I stopped counting after the 20th slide down. We stayed until her butt was soaking from the wet slide and headed home. She is so tired after 2 pieces of french toast, a bath, and 40 minutes at the park, now it is New moon time for me! We came home and Pam came over for a sushi sampling lunch, which was interesting....We had cucumber rolls, california rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and futi maki rolls. We like everything except the spicy tuna, it was slimy and pasty, and Pam and I choked it down. Kristin and Amanda came over and we all just hung with Cayleigh, and played the Wii...What a nice time we had, but ugh to Monday morning. Saturday at Sam's club, trying to KISS the buckle-I almost dropped the camera! EWWW! Eating her first girl scout cookie-she is OBSESSED! We have to hide the b...
