My family of three

We are enjoying this 4 day holiday, it is such a treat for Matt and I to both have off 4 days in a row. We decided to head to the park Friday.. We actually had alot of fun! It was almost empty, so we just let her explore. We went on the swings, down the slide and fed ducks....Oh and can I add that those aren't high water pants? They are capri's that are clearly a bit big on her... :) Today we got a library card after living in this town a whole year!! Cayleigh has no concept of being quiet, but is enjoying all of the books we picked out.... Later we got to visit baby Karlee, and Cayleigh got to hold her for the first time....Cayleigh listened very well when I told her to sit and hold very still, and did really good at not being the center of attention. Later I fed her, and she got up on a chair and said "help, peeaaase" so she did and again, listened very well. Talk about selective hearing, she definitely gets that from her dad.

**Updated** Apparently my prayers were not heard...Hope fall comes soon, because I am not paying for the AC to be fixed when cold weather is so close. :( No blog today, it has not been a good day. My air conditioner in my car broke this week. :( Having Lee take a look at it today, PRAY it can be fixed easily and cheap!! It seems so nice outside until you have to get in a HOT car...and windows down on 70 is not fun.

We signed Cayleigh up for gymnastics on Mondays at the local gym near our house. We thought it would be great to get her to socialize with other little kids once a week, and get some exercise! We were a bit concerned she wouldn't like it, or would be really scared of a teacher, but were pleasantly surprised. I have noticed that her friendliness with strangers is getting a bit better. It seems lately that if it is someone I am engaging in conversation with, she feels comfortable with them, which is really great. Alot less hiding between mommy and daddy's legs and tripping us up, lol! Matt was planning on coming, but wasn't able to get here in time for me to get there early enough to sign papers, so it was just Cayleigh and momma! She was VERY excited to have that time with the 2 of us. The teacher, Ms. Deanna, introcduced herself and asked each child their name. Cayleigh did shake her hand and call herself "Cay-kee". I am really not keeping up with my daily posting! Let's see.... Sunday- We spent the day cleaning mostly, but did squeeze some time in with Pam and her family for a bit. We made a huge pot of spaghetti sauce with fresh tomatoes from mom's garden and our tomato plant....10 hours on the stove=YUMM-O! We took a walk that evening...We take her in the wagon and she occasionally gets a lollipop so we can enjoy adult conversation for 10 minutes...Hey, it's only 5 grams of sugar for 10 minutes of bliss :) Hanging out in the wagon with "mee-mo"(nemo, the fish) Yes, her hair is a mess, but this captured our every day, messy haired, smiley little girl.

We went to visit Kristin yeaterday and watch a scrimmage. Although it looked really overcast and was calling for showers, we really lucked out. When we got there, the grass was really wet and the bees were really agressive, which equals not a good thing for a two year old. Matt and Cayleigh ended up going to walk around the campus and then sat in the car for the resst of the game, which made it nice for me to actually watch the game! Kristin played very well, and I was very proud to see how much she had improved since the last time I watched her in high school. I wish I had brought my bigger lens, but at least I remembered the camera! I tool some pics, but between actually watching the game and trying not to make a spectacle of myself swatting and running from the bees, I was a bit preoccupied. Cayleigh 2 year appointment was Friday. Matt was originally supposed to go, but had a rare opportunity for overtime that we just couldn't refuse, so I decided I'd be fine going alone. HAHA. Cayleigh woke up in rare form. She usually wakes up very happy and greets me with dozens of kisses and rubs my arm and hugs me. Not today. She woke up screaming. I went in and said good morning. She screamed "NO!". I agreed then it probably wouldn't be a good morning. She cried all morning as I got her ready, and held her neck, crying "ouch, hurt". She cried the 25 minutes to the doctor. I'm already exhausted and we haven't even done the hard part. As soon as she saw the building, she went from crying to screaming. I was able to calm her down to fussing in the waiting room, that is, until she heard the nurse call her name. The nurse who is associated with our doctor is probably her least favorite human being in the world, followed closely by her doctor. O...
