My family of three

Ever notice how I have to put a "catchy" headline?? I'm weird, lol. We have had a really busy past few days, heading up to the viewing and funeral. It was an emotional time, but happy as well, and it was SO nice to get back in touch with such good people that you feel so fortunate to call your family. It's also amazing what you learn about people. At the funeral, I learned my great-grandparents shared a double bed in the nursing home? Does it get any cuter than that? I think not. FROSTBURG — Elmer Johnson, 94, of Frostburg, passed peacefully into heaven to be with Jesus, Evelyn, his loving wife, and his first born son, Kenneth, on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009. Born in Lonaconing, Aug. 1, 1915, he was the son of the late John Johnson and Ida Mae (Ternent) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Marie (Beeman) Johnson, whom he wed on Oct. 3, 1936, and enjoyed 70 loving years of marriage until her passing on June 9, 2007; one son, Kenneth Johnson; one granddaughter, Rebecca Fair; three sisters, Mary Crawford, Edna Russell and Alice Nightengale; and three brothers, Onis Johnson, Arthur Johnson and John Johnson. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Midland. He was veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a sergeant in the 175th infantry of World War II. He was also a member of John Devlin Post 169 American Legion, Midland, and the Cumberland Area Teamsters for 23 years. He retired from Charlton Brothers as a truck driver. After we left the pumpkin patch, we still wanted to be outside so we stopped at a park nearby. We crunched through leaves, sat and swang in trees, ran on bridges, and played with these weird things that came off a tree that Matt seemed all knowing of. She wanted to "reeeeaaaach the yeeeaaafff"! ahh, the tree pictures...My favorite! I suggested Matt put her in the tree for a good picture, but little did I know she would want to get in EVERY TREE and sit in it! and how do you end a perfect day?? So we are finally ALL healthy!!!!!*knock on wood* We decided to go to the pumpkin patch today, to get out of the house and because we wanted to keep the tradition of going to Jumbo's every year with her. Here are a few pics from last year for comparison and because I like to torture myself with how fast she is growing.... and now for the present. We had a great time! Cayleigh loved petting the animals and seeing the horses. She also liked the hayride and searching for her pumpkin. We ended up onnly getting one pumpkin, as there actually wasn't alot left to choose from between the rain rotting them and the fact that we went so late into the season.
