IT'S SNOWING!!!!! Last night we decided to do our last minute Christmas shopping because we had heard there was going to be some bad weather headed our way. I pretty much ignore all forecasts because they are NEVER right, but just in case, didn't want to be stuck going to the mall the week of Christmas. We also went to cracker barrel to enjoy a bit of freedom out of our house in case we were snowed in.. Looks like we called that right!! As of 1pm today we had a foot of snow with it still coming down hard! We played outside this morning but it was coming down too hard to enjoy it for too long so we went to the grocery store just to see what it was like out(and because it is less than a mile away and we have a 4x4)and the roads were awful! Came home and made some spaghetti and meatballs and slow cooker chicken taco soup . We are just relaxing now, but this evening are going to make some sugar cookies and decorate them! We've been super busy Christmas shopping and getting ready the man in the big red suit to come visit us, but I thought I'd make a post about the delicious chili Matt made the other day. But first, a couple random pics of our cutie! Her crazy morning hair! Loves that cat! Now, onto the chili....This was so scrumptious! It definitely took 10 hours to cook the onion and green pepper down. Ingredients 2 pounds ground beef 2 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 2 medium onions, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons chili powder 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper Shredded Cheddar cheese Directions In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add the next nine ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4 hours. Garnish individual servings with cheese if desired.

Saturday we set out to Hershey Park with Melissa and Summer. We decided to stop at Bass Pro shops before and visit Santa since he was giving away free pictures. The lady at the front suggested I take Cayleigh and sit her on Santa before she can decide she doesn't want to. I thought there was absolutely NO WAY this would work, but I did acknowledge that she had seen ALOT of success and failure so I listened and it worked!! Nobody was more shocked than me! Summer, not so excited about Santa so no pic, but the girls still had fun looking at the aquarium and seeing all of the animals. We grabbed lunch and set off for Hershey Park! Hershey park was really nice. I had not been there for 5 years or so and never went with kids so I wasn't sure what to expect. The girls went on several rides and saw live reindeer, and had hot chocolate. Each of the girls slept for about 30 minutes seperately at the park, which gave us a bit of time to shop.
