I'm back!

Really this time! It's SO easy once you've skipped one day to skip two, and once you've skipped two days, to skip three and so on. I do have a good reason-well not good , but it's a reason, haha! We got Cayleigh a new bed!!! She has been sleeping with us since birth and can continue to do so as long as her little heart desires as far as Matt and I are concerned, but her room has slowly turned into playland and less of a room. We wanted to make sure she had a space when she is ready to sleep in her bed that is comfortable and warm. She has always been a kid that does things on her terms, and we let her, and I think it makes everyone happier. My mom once told me things are only as big of a deal as the parents make them and it is SO true. We could pull a supernanny and make her sleep in her bed and torment us both, but why? None of would be happy. As I've said before, she stopped taking a pacifier on her own, stopped nursing on her own, pretty much potty trained hers...

This very well may jinx me...

but Cayleigh is officially potty trained!!! :) She hasn't had any accidents in well over a week and the accident she did have was due to a coughing fit from when she was sick. Overall, she has been pretty much trained for about a month, I've just been afraid to say something for fear I'd eat my words! She REALLY took to it and it hasn't been much of a big deal. I told someone the other day that if you really wanted a 'high'-don't do drugs, take a kid out shopping with panties on, now there's a rush! We've gone out shopping for hours and it's no problem. We are still putting her in pull ups at night, but they have been dry for months-mommy just doesn't want a mess! She is very much a kid that does thing on her terms, not others. Let's note back to Cayleigh at 7 months when she went to bed with a pacifier and woke up and refused one every time after. She nursed for 13 months and woke up one day and refused it, never looking back. We are...

So let's begin here...friends...

It's only a couple weeks late! This is where I *think* we ended up getting sick-considering 3 out of 5 of us got sick after this! We decided to hit up the McD's after playing at our house for a bit to let the girls get some energy out-little did we know we got a bonus of germs! Cuties! They get along MUCH better when toys aren't involved, haha!! Earlier this past week we got the opportunity to get together with my one of my high school friends and her son who happened to be in town.
