The last of the birthday recap!!

Sunday was her actual birthday and we have made a tradition with just doing something as a family that day. We began that day with a long awaited present-a disney Cinderella castle! We got it back in June and since she saw it, we told her we gave it away, something she would occasionally remind me of. :) We then headed to Dunkin Donuts, and then ventured to the toy store where she picked out a new puppy she named chocolate. She decided she wanted pizza for her birthday dinner so we headed to Ledo's. After, we went home and played the rest of the day with her new toys since it wasn't great out and to be truthful, I don't think there was anything else she would have rather done. She LOVES all of her new toys and I can't believe how much more she is beginning to play by herself for longer periods! We took a long walk that night, and played rocks and did daddy/daughter racing! Since it was her birthday, she picked ice cream to celebrate with! Monday Matt and I took the da...

Birthday recap...part 2!

Saturday we woke up and gave Cayleigh started talking about getting her ears pierced. She has been asking for this for about 6 months, and I always said "maybe for your birthday". Turns out, she has a really great memory. When I was younger, I always thought I would have my baby's ears pierced. We went to the mall and went to the store that had 2 people available to pierce them at the same time. Cayleigh knew that there was going to be a pinch and told me it was ok and she was going to be brave. I asked her one last time if she was sure she wanted them and she said she HAD to have them. I held her hand as they counted to 3 and click. She didn't even make a p...

Birthday recap...part 1.

This recap may turn into a couple posts. We decided not to do a big birthday party this year, so she ended up having a few mini parties. First, we went to Sam and Linda's, affectionately known as Uncle Dam and Aunt Weenda. :) We were happy to have a couple friends of theirs able to join us too! Sadly, I don't have any pictures to post because she swam with no shirt on and those pictures skeeve me out to post! Grandma, AKA Bammaw, came to visit later that week and brought lots of fun toys too! No pics of that either! Can you believe, a non picture post???! ;) Next up, birthday weekend!
