Weekend fun...

Image
Today we went to Costco and met up with Bobby, Mandy and Sadie . We sampled foods and picked up 100 rolls of paper towels. We all grabbed lunch at Chick-fil-a and the girls were really good! We took them to the mall and looked at the pet store and let them ride on the the cars. Can you believe I went there and didn't buy Cayleigh 1 thing? Not even our usual pretzel sticks we buy EVERY time so I can bribe her to stay in the stroller! We headed to border's and they found a train table and they LOVED it. I'm not sure about Sadie, but Cayleigh had never played with trains really before, and she thought that table was so cool! We said our quick goodbyes and headed home. Cayleigh was asleep before we were on the highway. We had a good time and are now just relaxing, as I am beginning to wonder if a head cold is coming my way, ugh. Playing and riding in the cars.... At the train table....

Dancing with the Stars pics and videos!

Finally found my adapter and uploaded some pics! I have two videos, but can't figure out how to upload them! Here are a few pics.... Also, is anyone else not able to see my pictures entirely? I know some people who can see my page fine, but also heard that you can't see the whole picture sometimes and have to click on them.....feedback, please. It looks fine to me, so I'm not sure what's going on!

Playnasium!

Image
Today Cayleigh and I met up with Amanda and Sadie for a trip to the Playnasium. It's just what it sounds like, a gym for tots. It was pretty cool, Cayleigh had a blast. I think she went down the slide 50 times! Getting ready to go down the slide and being silly on the jungle gym.... Going through a tunnel and trying to make a friend!! Sadie and Cayleigh!

BUSY times!

Image
Yesterday was a busy day for Cayleigh and I. I went to work and, as usual, Cayleigh went to my mom's. I got off and met my dad for lunch with Cayleigh. We dined at James Gang, which had remodeled their restaurant, it looked nice but tasted the same, sigh. We went to the mall and met up with my mom and walked around until we met Matt, who took Cayleigh so I could meet Pam for Dancing with the Stars tour(DWTS for those who love it like me!!). We had a really nice time, the show was awesome. The highlight for me was Maksim, but Toni Braxton sang and that was awesome too! I love dancing and can't wait to put Cayleigh in dance! I have some grainy pics and a couple videos I wanted to share, but I can't find my adapter. Will post them soon! I wasn't able to take my good camera, so I'm not sure how they will turn out. Here is what happens with daddy when mommy is away!

Day 2 of the snow....

Image
Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. Yes, there were raw eggs, and no, I don't think it will kill her. Our finished product! I might add this was my best batch of cookies EVER! Playing with her pics.... I should add there will be no post tomorrow, because I am going with Pam and her family to the Dancing with the Stars show(the tour, not the actual show). I am SO excited!!!! It will actually be my first night away from Cayleigh ever, which make...

Our Snowy day....part three.

Image
i was fully prepared to be done with pictures for the day(and so was Cayleigh), when the doorbell buzzed. I didn't answer because I wasn't expecting anyone. Then a couple minutes later there was a knock at the door. Crap, now I have to open the door and I have NO clue who it is...I slowly unlocked the door and opened it(I'm not sure what my point of opening it slowly was!) and it was my entire fam!!! Yay for visitors on a snowy day!! Am I certain they came to see me?? Doubtful. They wanted to visit Cayleigh and eat my soup after seeing how yummy it looked on my blog, lol!! Cayleigh was thrilled to see everyone, and had fun dancing and playing in her kitchen and showing them how she plays wii! She was not happy to wear that chef hat though! Can you spot my mom?? It's tough that's for sure!! PS-Sorry Marissa, didn't get any pics of you today!

Our Snowy day....part two.

Lunch before and after(those are NOT cheese curls, they are gerber graduate lil crunchies, I can only hope they are a little healthier, lol!) Running from me, she could play this game all day! Playing with her kitchen, and trying to be "mommy" and pound on the laptop.... My headache from this morning seems to be rearing it's ugly head again, so this may be the end.....

Our Snowy day....part one.

Image
I woke up at about 6am and decided going to work was a no-go. It looked crummy out and I had amajor headache. I did have to do a couple hours of work from home, but after that(and a few advil) our day began..... We began our day with a healthy breakfast(well she did, I burnt my eggs and dumped them, and then made my toast and burnt it! sigh.) Here is a before and after of her plate, how is this kid underweight? We watched Jack's big music show and did somersaults on her yoga mat(really, don't ask if I did them, I did not.) She took a morning nap and woke up and to her delight, "good girl" was in the room. She ran over and kept hugging and kissing it....We really need to get out of the house! I played on our new Wii(yay!) while she was asleep and she decided she wanted to play too. More to come!

Chicken noodle soup...

Image
I decided to make Matt some chicken noodle soup since he woke up with a sore throat. Not my best batch, but I'm my own worst critic. Matt said it was great and Cayleigh LOVED it! I love making chicken noodle soup, to me there is something calming about it (except the cleaning up part). After dinner, we played in Cayleigh's room.....we really like that time with her, and she craves that time where it is just the 3 of us. Once mommy and daddy are in the room, she will shut the gate and close the door as if to tell us to stay put!! Being silly, throwing the ball at daddy! Playing with her blocks... Oh and for the few of you who don't know how to make chicken noodle soup(I never knew, it just always ended up on the table, who knew how??!!) here is how I make mine....It is such a cheap meal too! 1 1 1/2 chicken breast(@$3.50) 1 stalk celery(@ $2) 1 lb carrots(not baby)(@ $2) 1 bag med. noodles(@ $1) chicken boillioun(sp) cubes(@ $1.50) water salt pepper Take chicken breast and s...
