Lazy day...

Image
I feel crappy. I think I have either a cold or the swine flu. I kid, I kid. I woke up today and either have a cold or sinus issue. We are taking it easy today, running some errands, and going to Marissa's basketball game later today. Tomorrow we will just have another lazy day. Lazy days are so nice and yet so seldom. As promised, pics from Friday.... Coloring... She has to wear glasses or a hat outside.....not because she wants to. Giving Mickey a hug... Taking a pause for the cause...

Thankful Thursday

We had such a nice day yesterday. My dad and Sandy, his girlfriend, came up for a visit and lunch, but Cayleigh was more interested in playing ball than eating pizza. :) Later in the day, we went to cracker barrel for dinner with Matt's Aunt Linda, Uncle Sam, and cousin Brett. Cayleigh was super clingy, and for some reason not very friendly with them. They invited us back to their house so Cayleigh could see the dog, so we decided to go. Boy, what a different kid she was then! I SO wish I had pictures! She liked the golden retriever, Logan, but her main focus from the second she laid eyes on them was the Heb. Oh you don't know what a Heb is? :) I've almost forgot that a cat's real name is not Heb! She spent her whole 2 or so hours searching for their Hebs. She also enjoyed the fish, and loved putting her hand in the tank and letting the fish "kiss" her. She wanted to take one particiular red fish out of the tank, but the fish wasn't interested. She was ou...

Mmm...

Decided to make a fudge recipe I found a while back, as I had all the ingredients on hand....I really liked it! I did forget to take a pic though! 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 cups chopped walnuts 1 cup miniature marshmallows DIRECTIONS Grease an 8x8 inch square pan. Place the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk into a medium sized microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Stir in the vanilla, then fold in the walnuts and marshmallows. Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Chill until set. Thank you allrecipes.com! :)

Weekend recap!

Image
First off, what a beautiful weekend! 80's and sunny in April, LOVE IT! Today was a tad warm, I think it got to 90ish, but it did have a decent breeze. Saturday morning I went to Ricky and Jacki(and Josh and Caroline) and picked up some clothes that Caroline has grown out of. When I say 'some' I mean a lawn bag full of really nice things, thank you so much!! We went back home and met up with Matt and drove to my mom's for a visit(pretty much all our weekends are like this :) ). Cayleigh adores going there for so many reasons. Her aunts are SO good to her, doing whatever she wants. Being able to be outside in a backyard, which we don't have. Then there is grammy and grandad, which I could go on and on about how much she has them wrapped!! All of the girls had friends over, except Kristin, who was out for the evening. That made 9 girls in one house and 2 boys! Today we got out our summer clothes and went through that just enough to make a wreck of our house and left it...
