To grandmother's house we go!

Cayleigh is such a lucky little girl. While her mommy has to go to work part time(which she would MUCH rather stay at home with her baby girl!), Cayleigh gets to go to Grahmy's house. She gets greeted with all the love in the world by her 4 aunts, who are getting ready for school. She probably makes them late, as she always seems to make her mommy late! Then it is fun time with Grahmy. I don't know what they spend their day doing, but whenever I come to get her, she has the brightest smile on her face. She always has all of her toys spread all over the office or living room and she is pretty much the only one allowed to make a mess there and not get into trouble! Grahmy always says what an angel she was that day, and how much fun she has with her. I hope I can get that time with Cayleigh's children one day, I just see how much joy each of them get from one another. It never bothers me that Cayleigh ALWAYS runs to Grahmy when I get there, I know how easy it is to love that lady!! We are so lucky to have someone one who really loves her taking care of her while I am gone.

Momma, thank you for watching Cayleigh and the sacrifices you have made for all of us girls. You are such a special lady and we are all better for having you in our lives. It really gives me such a peace of mind knowing that while I have to be away from her, she is having such a fun time and that a real bond is forming between the two most important ladies in my life! I hope Cayleigh will love me as much as I love you.

Wow, what a lucky momma to have such love in my life! I'm not sure I can express my thoughts as well as you have but know that I wouldn't change anything about my first baby girl! You have given me more love than I could ask for and now having Cayleigh to entertain my days, is like having my little Layla again.(with a little bit of Matt too!) I love you all and I love being Grahmy! PS-after reading this and seeing the pics my first thoughts were about the pics, I almost picked up the phone but thought better of it since you were being so sweet about me!
Some things will never change-crabby mom ;)

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
