Weekend recap!

First off, what a beautiful weekend! 80's and sunny in April, LOVE IT! Today was a tad warm, I think it got to 90ish, but it did have a decent breeze. Saturday morning I went to Ricky and Jacki(and Josh and Caroline) and picked up some clothes that Caroline has grown out of. When I say 'some' I mean a lawn bag full of really nice things, thank you so much!! We went back home and met up with Matt and drove to my mom's for a visit(pretty much all our weekends are like this :) ). Cayleigh adores going there for so many reasons. Her aunts are SO good to her, doing whatever she wants. Being able to be outside in a backyard, which we don't have. Then there is grammy and grandad, which I could go on and on about how much she has them wrapped!! All of the girls had friends over, except Kristin, who was out for the evening. That made 9 girls in one house and 2 boys!



Today we got out our summer clothes and went through that just enough to make a wreck of our house and left it to go to Amanda's soccer game, which Cayleigh was really good for! We did sunscreen and an umbrella and hat and she went from person to person and sat with them for a bit, but really wasn't as bored as I thought she'd be. She kept yelling "go, go, go!" to the girls! Came back to their house and met Alycia's boyfriend for the first time and had a nice dinner. No pics from Sunday as we left the camera at home.

Yes!! it's so nice to get the summer clothes out. I'm getting tired of the winter clothes. :) She looks like a mini-mommy pushing her baby :)

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. Yes, there were raw eggs, and no, I don't think it will kill her. Our finished product! I might add this was my best batch of cookies EVER! Playing with her pics.... 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
