Part 1 of our weekend...

Friday night we went to mom's for dinner and Cayleigh and Mandy took a swing...

And then Grandad asked her to go swimming, even though the pool was freezing! Of course, she'd do anything with Grandad.

Saturday we enjoyed the day with my dad. We drove down to Baltimore and visited our favorite pizza restaurant, Squires, mmmm!

We went to a park my dad used to take me to as a kid. She met a 3 year old she just wanted to follow all day!

We went to Friendly's for ice cream, and let her have an ice cream with sprinkles all to herself!

We went to the mall and spent way too much money at the disney store, hope nobody in Baltimore is looking for Minnie mouse stuff. You won't find any, it all made it in our cart!

wow, she's doing great with water wings in the pool! that's awesome. And OMG - Friendlys!!! I miss Friendly's!!! DH is from PA and we always say we're visiting when we're up there---but we haven't in yrs. :(

I so miss friendly's. I grew up in philly and so miss it. We do not have them in texas :-( I just love her hair! I cannot believe she was in the pool.

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. Yes, there were raw eggs, and no, I don't think it will kill her. Our finished product! I might add this was my best batch of cookies EVER! Playing with her pics.... I should add there will be no post tomorrow, because I am going with Pam and her family to the Dancing with the Stars show(the tour, not the actual show). I am SO excited!!!! 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. She is well rounded. -Still loving soccer, but recognizing that sometimes coaches can take away the sparkle of it. -Being 5'1" and wearing a bigger s...

8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
