Cayleigh's 2nd birthday!

Saturday we decided to go to Port Discovery in Baltimore. We originally were going to go to the Baltimore Zoo, but with the forecast threatening rain and thunderstorms, we didn't want to chance it. We stopped by Dinkin donuts for breakfast and got Cayleigh a cup of donut holes, which she gobbled up, (I think she had 5!) and headed down the road.
We got there around 10:30 and stayed for about 2.5 hours. What a neat place that is! It was very age appropriate and it was a really neat place for her. It was really important for us to let her birthday be a day full of "yes", as opposed to the every day "no" I feel like she hears. She could run, paint, bang, jump, etc all she wanted! They were a bit crowded, and we saw this little girl get into a fight with another little boy(punching and knocking on the ground), but other than that we had such a great time! Her favorite part was jumping in the ball pit. There were only a couple kids there so they all took turns jumping in, and she just loved it! She did also go down a really big part of the jungle gym area, where alot of older kids were too scared to go. Not my kid. I fear for the future.

Cayleigh fell asleep before we were out of the parking garage.
We decided to head to Kristin's college so Matt could get a look at where her new digs were. We got a call from grandad and met him up for lunch with the 3 girls, as they were all going to the Skins/Steelers preseason game. They spoiled Cayleigh with pizza hut and chocolate covered fruit and a new bike!!!! She yelled for her bike the whole way home and pressed the buttons on it the whole way home. :)
We got home and had to make a run for some cupcakes(momma didn't feel like baking a cake) and celebrated her birthday, just the 3 of us. It was nice! I kept trying to light the candle and before I could put the lighter down, she would blow out the candles. She thought it was so funny that I kept having to re-light it. She ate the cupcake, not as impressed with the sugar overload as I thought she would be, just more excited to eat the icing off the balloon decoration that was on the cupcake.
We decided there are no bedtimes on birthday's, so we put together(meaning Matt put together and I watched) her new bicycle, and blew up her castle and played...

We decided that until Cayleigh chooses to be with other people for her birthday, that day is sort of our day as a family. It was SO nice to disconnect from the world and just focus on our time together.
PS-We are missing our Mom, aka Ma-maw. Cayleigh has asked for her 1,000,000 times.

Glenna-We were so excited to have that pump! We thought we were going to have to blow it up by mouth, LOL!! It took us(well Matt :) ) 15 or so min to blow it up....
