Cayleigh's new "friends"

A couple weeks ago, Pam and I were in a boutique and Cayleigh was interested in this little teether/blanket toy called quack. I reluctantly picked it up, thinking it would be quickly forgotten, as it is really more of a baby toy! Turns out I was sorely mistaken, she LOVES it! She runs around looking for it and when we lost it we soon realized we needed to buy backups! We ordered moo-moo the cow and hip-hop the bunny. They came today and since she has PLENTY for xmas, we decided to give them to her early. She seems to love moo-moo the most. She goes around calling them and hugs and kisses them and tucks them in her bag.






Matt has off for the next 2 weeks and I had to work today and tomorrow and then I will join them(SO EXCITED!) Cayleigh decided to wear my boots! She couldn't move, it was too funny!

Oh, and today she is 16 months....Where has that time gone?!

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
