My sick ladybug....
Yesterday began as just an ordinary day. We got up, got ready for work, Cayleigh woke up smiling, happy and even dancing at 6am. Matt took her to my mom's while I took 90 minutes to travel down that hell they like to call 270. Pretty busy at work, but got a call from my mom saying Cayleigh had "sick breath". I really didn't know what she meant, but she called back as I was on my way to her house(I only work half days Thursday) to say she had a fever too and she gave her motrin. I picked her up and she had these pitiful sick and eyes and as my mom described, stinky breath! I took her home and my dad was at our house for our visit. She really perked up and ate a decent lunch and danced and played like she was fine. My dad leaves and we both took a nap. Matt came home at 4:30 and we woke up, and she feels like fire...I take her temp, 103.1. Called the doc and they said there was a high temp flu goign around and she REALLY should be seen. On a side note, she HATES the doctors and every person in the office remembers her because she gets SO upset. We went in for a 5:45pm appt, and by then her temp was 104. The doc said she thought she had a sinus infection and gave her amoxicillin. She did say that if she got to 105, to go to the ER. She pretty much refused dinner, only ate a bite or 2. We gave her a dose of Amox and Tylenol and she perked up a bit, actually smiling and getting into things! We had her sleep with us because with the temp being 1 degree off of an ER trip, I wanted to keep close tabs on her. Went to bed at 9pm. We got up every 4 hours(according to her med schedule) to give her tylenol and at 11:30pm was 104. We were terrified and watched her sleep until it went down to 103. Got up at 3:30 and before we gave her the meds she was down to 102. At 5:30am(when Matt had to leave) she was down to 101.3. She is still sleeping, which is really saying something, because she usually wakes at 6-6:30am and it is 7:30 and she is soundly sleeping. I am praying she wakes up my happy, healthy girl!
Update: She just woke up and it is time for a dose of Amox and tylenol, but she was 100.9! I'll take it for now! She is much more alert and not so lethargic....She is watching her Yo Gabba Gabba, and will probably watch most of the day! When she is sick, I pretty much let her do what she wants, oh wait, I do that almost every day :)
PS-If you got through this novel, you must really like us :)
Last night....Look at those sick eyes.. :(

This was this morning and actually a sign she is getting back to herself. She likes to hit, not actually hitting, but pretty much what the picture show is what she does when she is unhappy. It is actually hysterical and SO hard not to laugh at! And look at that bed head!!
