4 day weekend for me!

I had to work Monday-Wednesday this week, since my mom couldn't watch her Thursday. I was thrilled to have a 4 day weekend! Thursday was SUCH the dreary day, we stayed in and I baked, cleaned and played with Cayleigh. I also started reading Twilight, and so the addiction began.



Friday was a bit nicer, and Matt got off at noon, and despite an altercation with my neighbor upstairs, it was a great day! We went grocery shopping, and it is SO nice when Matt goes with me, I hate going without him and having to lug groceries and make sure Cayleigh doesn't run away in our apartment hallway-something she ALWAYS does. We came home and she took a nap, and Pam came over. We looked at her pretty cruise pics and went to dinner at Texas roadhouse-SO GOOD! Came back and watched our shows, and although she left after 11pm, I couldn't sleep until I finished Twilight. I will spare you a commentary, but it was a great book. I will be heading out today for the movie and next books!






PS-IS ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS PASTING PICS FROM PHOTOBUCKET?? UGH!

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. Yes, there were raw eggs, and no, I don't think it will kill her. Our finished product! I might add this was my best batch of cookies EVER! Playing with her pics.... 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
