Happy Easter!

Hope everyone has had a happy and safe Easter. We had a really nice, relaxing one. Cayleigh woke at 6:15am this morning and seemed to enjoy her basket. If I had to name her favorite thing aside from candy, it would have been her flute, she really liked that thing! We dined on cinnamon rolls, yes even Cayleigh, which was such the treat for her. We just relaxed all morning and went to Grammy and Grandad's after a bit. We ate again, and did an egg hunt, which by now she is a pro at! Cayleigh took a small nap and we helped clean up their yard, which looks really nice now, and were glad to do it. Had a nice dinner, aside from Cayleigh throwing her plate overboard and only agreeing to eat oranges(very unusual for her, she's lucky it was Easter!)

We are so blessed to have the people in our life love our daughter so much. I'll spare naming each person, but you know who you are. It's not about buying gifts, and taking her places. It's getting to know her and taking the time to get on her level and do things at her pace. It is such an amazing thing to know how many people love her.

10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
