Virginia beach!

We headed to Virginia beach for the 4th and had a really nice time. We went to my Uncle and Aunt's house, who live just a couple blocks from the beach. Cayleigh absolutely adores the beach and you can just see how much she loves the outdoors. She wanted to be with daddy in the ocean the entire time, only coming in occasionally to reapply the sunscreen and sit with her grammy to warm up. Everyone was shocked at just how happy she was there. We didn't really do anything other than the beach, so not much to report. Cayleigh did have a bit of a run in with one of their dogs, which left her frightened for the night, but luckily the next morning she was very happy to see them.

No pictures of the fireworks on the beach. It was really nice though, aside from her putting sand down my shirt and me rolling the stroller through poop. Sigh.

Wow, you guys have a had a busy few weeks!

So glad to hear that Cayleigh loved the beach. The pictures are so cute! Remember our little trip to Virginia Beach? My oh my, how things change, lol!

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
