Catching up part 2.....

We went to visit Kristin yeaterday and watch a scrimmage. Although it looked really overcast and was calling for showers, we really lucked out. When we got there, the grass was really wet and the bees were really agressive, which equals not a good thing for a two year old. Matt and Cayleigh ended up going to walk around the campus and then sat in the car for the resst of the game, which made it nice for me to actually watch the game!

Kristin played very well, and I was very proud to see how much she had improved since the last time I watched her in high school. I wish I had brought my bigger lens, but at least I remembered the camera! I tool some pics, but between actually watching the game and trying not to make a spectacle of myself swatting and running from the bees, I was a bit preoccupied.

After the game we took her to Fuddrucker's and target, to get some snacks and school supplies. She was exhausted by that point so we parted ways. We had a really nice time though and it was so nice to see her adjusting to adulthood.


Came home and Aunt Pammy came for a visit. We unsuccessfully attempted to watch a movie together, and as always, it ended with me falling asleep and snoring while Pam and Matt laughed about my ability to fall asleep in .2 seconds.

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
