Our weekend!

This weekend was really nice, as it was another of those weekends where you plan as you go, and didn't have any commitments. Friday night Pam came over late and we got a chance to go shopping. Cayleigh and daddy went and had special time, going out to get "icccceeeeee", otherwise known as ice cream, and catching lightning bugs.



Saturday we rearranged Cayleigh's room, which really was long overdue...I should actually call it a play room, as it isn't like her bed is in it, lol! We rearranged things and made it tried to spruce it up so she would want to play in it! We gave her one of her birthday presents early, the cherry blossom market, and she absolutely loves it. We went to mom's house for dinner and family time and Cayleigh did a little night swimming with granddad. Kristin and Alycia came over and we had a movie night and sleepover.

Sunday we spent the day with the girls, and headed to the community college to get the girls out for a run(not this girl, the young one's! :) ) Cayleigh surprised me so much with how much she wanted to run on the track. She actually did really well and the track is really nice! We headed to mom's after to get in the pool, as it was 95 without the heat index!

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
