4 days...

We are enjoying this 4 day holiday, it is such a treat for Matt and I to both have off 4 days in a row. We decided to head to the park Friday..

We actually had alot of fun! It was almost empty, so we just let her explore. We went on the swings, down the slide and fed ducks....Oh and can I add that those aren't high water pants? They are capri's that are clearly a bit big on her... :)

Today we got a library card after living in this town a whole year!! Cayleigh has no concept of being quiet, but is enjoying all of the books we picked out....

Later we got to visit baby Karlee, and Cayleigh got to hold her for the first time....Cayleigh listened very well when I told her to sit and hold very still, and did really good at not being the center of attention. Later I fed her, and she got up on a chair and said "help, peeaaase" so she did and again, listened very well. Talk about selective hearing, she definitely gets that from her dad.

Hailey goes to the library every 2 2 weeks. She is anything but quiet...she takes off a ton of books we do not get and just leaves or puts them back. One day when Glenne was trying to get her to not mess a display a librarian said..we like when kids like to read and dont mind putting away the books, since then we let her go (she was a bit snotty about it so that is more so why..LOL). Hailey has been doing the library for a while...I think the kids library is the one place where they dont get in trouble for being loud. Great pics and looks like it was a great weekend.

10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
