Merry Christmas!!!

What a special day we had! Currently, Matt and Cayleigh are napping, and I'm not sure who is more tired.

If only I could have captured the look on Cayleigh's face as she rounded the corner into the living room. I think Matt got it on video, but her jaw literally dropped when she saw the train set(she keeps saying "oh my goodness, a choo choo train!" every time she comes in the room) and all of the presents. She did tire of opening them all so she took breaks in between to play. Grandma Kathi came over and we enjoyed a yummy breakfast and the second round of gifts...and I got a new camera lens!!!! :)

We headed over around noon to grammy and grandad's house for round 3 and a turkey dinner! Cayleigh got a dress up trunk and thought it was the best thing ever! She changed many times throughout the day....We also made sugar cookies and decorated them....Watched a couple movies and headed hoke for the night. We are so blessed and thankful to have so many people in our lives who love and care for us.

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. She is well rounded. -Still loving soccer, but recognizing that sometimes coaches can take away the sparkle of it. -Being 5'1" and wearing a bigger s...

8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
