Bear with me....
I am going to put a few posts up by the weekend...I'm still feeling crummy and have been going to bed early every night....Until then, here are a few posts I am copying from my myspace, which I am deleting. Didn't wanna lose the posts from when Cayleigh was little though. Ahh, reminiscing!

12 weeks pregnant..
So we found out in December that we are going to have a baby!!! We are overjoyed and overwhelmed at the thought!! I told Matt the night before his birthday, and he said it was the best birthday present anyone has ever given him! It had better be!!! I am 12 weeks now and the time is creeping by! Hurry up August 20th!! Oh and we are going to keep the sex a surprise so go ahead and place your bets!!!
16 weeks pregnant...
So my 16 week appointment went pretty good, nothing really new, but we were REALLY happy at how quick she picked up the heartbeat. Every other time we have gone, it has taken some time to hear it, and it is pretty creepy. This time, as soon as she put the doppler on my belly, we hear it loud and clear, best sound in the WHOLE world. I think I am beginning to feel little kicks too, which is sooo cool. We get an another ultrasound next month, at the half way point, it hard to believe how fast this time is flying!
28 weeks pregnant
Sooooo....We went today for our 28 week appt. with the Perinatal doctor and he gave us a good report! He had been keeping an eye on a couple of things, but all of the things have cleared up. He said our baby looked VERY healthy and is chubby! He said he estimated it at 2.5-3lbs already!! He said it had long feet and I said that will be from his daddy! We saw the hands and arms and face in 4-d and got a couple pictures I will post up later, it was simply amazing. From what I can tel, the baby has my head, but Matt's nose, cheeks, and lips, I CANNOT wait for August! He/She was beautiful!
Our peanut has really begun to move ALOT lately. I was late in feeling the baby move and it really made me nervous, but I feel it all the time now, best feeling in the world! Just wanted to keep everyone posted! I am on cloud nine!
37 weeks...
So this week's appt. went MUCH better than last week's. This doctor was far more gentle checking things and although she said I was not dilated, she said the head was way down, and that it looked like we had a big baby in there! She said she wouldn't let me go to 42 weeks, which thrilled me!! She said at 40 weeks she guessed we would have an 8-9lb baby in there and that it was also VERY long it seemed. I can't belive how fast this time has gone and that in a mere few weeks we will be parents. As pregnant as I feel, it is still hard to believe. Matt has been so wonderful to me, I am so thankful to have him, and know he will do a great job in the labor and delivery....The countdown begins!!!!
Cayleigh's birth...
Cayleigh Noelle Armitage came into this world August 22nd at 1:02pm, weighing 8 lbs, 2 3/4 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long. I went to FMH August 21st @ 6pm, following docs orders that my amniotic fluid was leaking. I got there and found I was already in active labor, having contractions! I couldn't really feel them at that point so they just let me walk. Around 11pm they decided to break my water and give me pitocin, which sped up my contractions, making me a not so happy camper QUICK! I ended up getting an epidural @ 1:30am and didn't feel much at all for the next several hours as I continued to dilate. Around 6 am they said Iwas fully dilated and would probably begin pushing around 7am, but the docs were short staffed and ended up not have me start pushing until closer to 10:30am. At 10am the doctor who would deliver Cayleigh said I had too much of the epidural to push( I couldn't move my right leg alot) so she decided to turn it OFF, making me pretty annoyed. 30 minutes later I began feeling a good bit so we began to push. By 12:30 they gave me a little of the epidural because I was in alot of pain, but I didn't end up having her until 1:02pm. She ended up having to use the vacuum since she was such a nice size baby, but I didn't even notice! When she came out and the doctor said it was a girl, words will never describe the emotions I felt. I was INSTANTLY in love. They laid her on my belly and I have never loved anything so much in my life.
Matt and I took her home Friday and while she slept during the day, she didn't at all during the night! We are pretty tired but just so in love with her. Despite her not sleeping the first night home, she is a really good girl!
Thank you to everyone who said congrats and wished us the best
2008...
Cayleigh-8 months.
Cayleigh is already 8 months. Where has the time gone. Seems like just yesterday I was pregnant just waiting for that baby(what I guessed to be a boy!) to come!! She is doing really well @ 19lbs, and long. She is rolling all over the place still and has been on her hands and knees for about 2 weeks now, starting to scoot a little backwards. She says hi, waves hi and bye(2 different waves), is eating cheerios, gerber puffs, mum-mums, rice krispies, 3rd foods, and any table food that are healthy enough to give her(she LOVED my homeade chicken noodle soup last night!). She still has no teeth and no sign of any either. Has a new angry face that she makes, even when she is happy, it is really funny(I have a couple pics of it in the 8 month folder). Still breastfeeding, I am so proud of myself for making it this far. I always said I would just do 6 months but she had refused the bottles and cups so much I think she would have turned into a raisin if I didn't nurse her, lol! Plus I really enjoy my time with her, I will go to @ a year and maybe then wean if she hasn't already weaned herself. She is starting to do better with the juice in a cup, I can get her to drink a few ounces, as long as she has a snack to go with it!! She is a very pleasant baby, very mommy-fied, but getting better with Matt. Last night she cried when he left the room! I think she is saying dada, but it is kind of hard to tell, but I think it will come before mama, I haven't heard any sound of that. When she cries for me she says ra-ra. She LOVES it outside, it has such a calming effect on her. She love to watch cars go by, play on a blanket, listen to birds, etc....She is just really starting to become a little person, with likes and dislikes(HATES peaches), and it is so amazing to watch. We are just so proud to call her our daughter
1st birthday..
My baby girl is going to be one in a couple of weeks. Even as I type this it seems unimaginable. In some respects it feels like I had no life before her, in other ways it seems like just yesterday. I go back to a year ago, just getting ready to go on maternity leave, but feeling really good still, just a bit more tired than usual. I remember changing my boy's name this week, since I was more than certain that is what I was going to have. In all truthfulness, I longed for a little girl to dress up and fix her hair, but I was preparing for a lifetime of dirt, bugs and kneescrapes!! I was very excited at the thought of having a boy, though I had no clue what to do with them! After all, I only know girls, given my family history! Anyway, I rested alot and watched alot of tv, found new message boards to be a proud mommy on, and as matt would tell you, did too much cleaning and laundry preparing for "him" to come home.
Fast forward to August 22nd, 1:02pm
The minute I saw that little life Matt and I created was the most intense, real feeling I have ever had. After realizing I had a baby, a baby girl at that, I knew in that instant my life had real purpose. I looked into her steel blue eyes and knew right then God had put me on this earth to be a mom. The past almost 12 months have been the most amazing times in my life. Watching her grow, have her first solids, sit up, crawl, get teeth, etc.. have put me in awe. Watching how fast she learns things, clapping, dancing, pointing, makes me so proud to be her mom. I hope one day her daughter will bring her as much happiness as she has brought me.
To my daughter Cayleigh Noelle Armitage, I love you more than life itself and hope and wish for so much for you. You are the most wonderful addition to my life this world is such a beautiful place with you in it.
Cayleigh, 15 months
So Cayleigh is 15 months already. I thought I'd write my thoughts down so one day I can look back on them! She is really becoming quite the little chater bug, she can say, mama, dada, grandma, granddad, nana(banana), ninner(dinner), meese(please), ha-ho(for some reason, means sorry!), baby, sock, eww, duck, gabba(for her show), hot and is beginning to say I love you, good girl. She LOVES the song Damaged by Danity Kane. Her favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba, but does the hand sign for blue's clues. She loves to dance to any kind of music and has a really good beat. She loves playing outside and at the park. She is still taking 2 naps a day, which is fine with me! She is a tiny tot on the scale, only 20lbs, 14oz at her 15 month checkup, but growing steadily. She is becoming more and more like her mom and dad as far as stubborness goes. If you ask her if she wants to get out of the tub she makes a pfff sound, like no way! When you take her socks off or after she takes a drink, she says ahh! She is a very happy girl, who can light up a room. If you take her out anywhere, SOMEONE will stop us because Cayleigh is waving at them! She now does the touchdown sign with her arms, but will only do it if football is on! She loves mandarin oranges, and pretty much any fruit. She loves her yogurt bites as a snack, and thanks to her grammy, wants to dip anything possible. She is learning to feed herself, which is quite the messy adventure. She sleeps in her crib for most of the night, but wakes up and we bring back to our bed, which is some of my fondest moments, just laying there with my little family, in awe of creating something so innocent and perfect. She carries a juice/water cup around all day with her. she loves climbing on things she isn't supposed to, the ottoman, the couch, her toy. She stand there with this look of being so proud and nervous, because she knows she is about to get into trouble. She loves going to the Amish market, because she knows she will share a pretzel with her mommy. She loves taking her shoes out and bringing them to me. She started going on the potty, but has become less impressed by her treats! She poops in the tub on occasion and then won't want to take a bath for the next week, saying eww when she sees the tub(even if it is clean!). She still doesn't like the car ride, but if you ask her if she wants to go see grammy, she gets excited. She loves her aunts, calls them by her version of their name, says Amanda best. She likes to kiss her baby dolls, feed them, put them to sleep and hit them from time to time! She likes to chase and be chased around the house. She can leave our apartment(with us of course) and knows which way to the elevator. She hates hats. She is beginning to color and seems to like that. She favors her left hand to her right. She likes to read and be read to. Her favorite books are Pat the Bunny, Barnyard dance, Pajamatime, and Moo, Baa, La La La. She knows what a duck, cow, rhinocerous, horse, and sheeps says. This could go on forever, but things change so fast with a little one, and your memory can only hold so much before it begins to fade so I want to try to write it all down!
