Hershey Park!

We had a chance to go to Hershey park this past weekend, and since we had such a nice time in December, we decided why not!

We had an even better time this go around! The girls were really well behaved and they even took a cat nap. We eneded up being there @ 8 hours! The crowds weren't bad at all, most of the rides for the girls you could walk right up to and get on. Matt and Melissa went on some upside down ride while I watched the girls, and then he watched them while they napped so she could drag me, er, we could go on the wooden rides. :)

Not much to note aside from the lady working the swings who apparently couldn't hold her measuring stick straight and tried denying Cayleigh to go on her favorite thing in all of the park. She was tall enough in December, but apparently she shrunk. Matt and her exchanged a couple words and he measured her and she was at least an inch over the minimum.

What else? Oh, Summer is not nearly the fan of heights like apparently my child is. Sigh. she definitely gets that from her daddy!

Funny story about the swings. When I was a little kid my parents took me to Hershey Park, my mom went to use the bathroom and told my stepdad to put me on the swings. When she came back she looked for me on the kiddie swings and I was nowhere to be found. She nearly had a heart attack when she found me on the big ones.

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
