Wow...

How have 5 days past since my last post? What a blur. Cayleigh has the hand foot and mouth virus and it is ugly. She has blisters all over her feet and hands, and canker like sores and blisters in her mouth and on her tongue. She no longer has a fever, a patchy red and white throat or rash. It has been nothing shy of misery. In addition, she is restless and isn't sleeping well at night. The doctor also thinks she may have had an infection on some sort in addition to this and so she is on antibiotics. Her spirits are MUCH better and she is eating just about anything again.

Oh and did I mention my poor Marissa came down with a bug Saturday seemingly worse than Cayleigh's? They are still trying to sort that illness out but until they can, we can't take Cayleigh to their house which means no work. Will try to make it in one day and have Matt off with her-if she will let us!

***UPDATE*** Marissa has the same thing as Cayleigh... :(

so sorry to hear that she's so sick. Evan got HFM when she was a around 18mos. She only had sores in her mouth and a few on her feet, but it was still rough. sorry to hear you're all dealing with it now too. Hang in there...it does go away...and usually they don't get it more than twice. whew!

wow...when it rains it pours!! that seriously stinks for all of you. i am glad she is feeling better but sad that your sis got it. i hope the rest of the summer is sick free and look forward to the rest of the fla posts. i am still trying to get our disney posts done and its been 2 wks. (( hugs )) to you all..stay healthy

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
