The verdict...

The adenovirus, a bacterial infection, and still a double ear infection.

I took her back to the doctor's Friday, since her fever was still going well over 100 with the motrin/tylenol combo and we were on the last day of the Z-pack. She thinks she has the adenovirus-which is causing the cough, throwing up phlegm(which she is doing about twice a day still), congestion, and pink eye. She did give her augmenten for the double ear infection, the bad ear was starting to get better and the ear that was not bad Monday was very bad). She did say that if she isn't significantly better that she would need a chest xray and blood work Tuesday to test for pneumonia.

I gave her meds Friday afternoon and she took about a 4 hour nap! She actually slept the whole night and only woke up with a 100 fever instead of the normal 103-104. So far today less coughing, and a lighter fever, and currently napping. I am just praying she continues to improve, I am pretty sure I can't handle her getting a chest xray, let alone pneumonia.

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
