Work with momma!

My little lady got to come to work with me Thursday, as Chuck's momma is not doing well and he and mom went to visit her in NC. She was not excited to come to work with me, "I don't wanna go momma" and "I don't like your work"-which made it really fun since it was a 90 minute commute. I did finally understand why she said that-she said she didn't want to grow up and have to go to work and not be able to play any more. :) So 90 minutes and a bathroom break in Germantown, we were finally there!

I must say that for 3, she is pretty much not shy around anyone. It always amazes me that while she may look so much like Matt, her personality is definitely me. She had physicists fetching her big sheets of paper, the police guard stopping traffic to see her hair, and the mail lady watching her play on my itouch. Somewhere in between it all I actually got work done too!!

Oh wait, why do I have an expensive camera when I am using my cell phone for a camera?? Yeah. Maybe because my laptop finally died this past week. Big sigh. I'm not going to let that stop me from blogging though, the pictures may just be hazy!

I'm more than happy to watch her if your mom's not around and you don't want to have to take her to work again. Seriously, we'd love to (I'm not just saying that :))

I always enjoy your posts and pics, even camera phone pics. At least you're trying ... more than I can say for a certain lazy slacker I know :sigh:

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. Black Bean burritos

We have really been on a mexican food kick lately. We have mexican at least twice a week, and the only downside is that Cayleigh isn't a huge fan, though she will eat quesadillas and now randomly has a new love for salsa. Lord, don't ask her to eat a chicken fajita, the world may end. Tonight's dinner was Black Bean burritos. I used this recipe as a base for my burritos, but did change it up a bit. Here is what I used, I will put in bold the changes I made: 2 (10 inch) flour tortillas (I used 4) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I only used 1/2, and used mostly pam) 1 small onion, chopped (I used a purple onion) 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno peppers (I used fresh) 3 ounces cream cheese (I used half a block) 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro I added a half a piece of chicken breast-it goes so much farther with beans Also added a handful of cut up fresh cher...

And the verdict is.....

Sinus Infection. I went to the doctor's today after work and he said I had a pretty bad sinus infection. In my experience, it is definitely my worst one of my life. My head hurts, my eyes are super red and irritated from the sneezing and blowing my nose a thousand times a day. Oh and my throat is scratchy and my ears are aching. I hate being sick. I hate going to the doctor's. I hate taking medicine, particularly medicine with no coating on it that are the size of my pinky finger. It is still raining, with no real end in sight. Hmm...anything else I can complain about? I want to keep it all in this post and just get it all out now so I can get over it! Well there was the fact that my doctor prescribed me eye drops and when I went to pick them up, it was $50!!! Forget it, I will suffer. I will take my $7 generic antibiotic and suffer with red, sore eyes. Ok, enough for today. I promise to be brighter when I am feeling better.
