Easter
We had such a wonderful Easter. We really are blessed in so many ways, and thank God daily for it. We started out the morning from good ol' Mr. B, aka the Easter Bunny! He left a note for Cayleigh basically saying since he had to leave eggs out in her Grammy's yard, he decided to hide the basket so she had something to search for. She absolutely loved it and I think Mr. B is going to need to make it a tradition. She had 5 clues and at the end-it was in her bathtub!
Reading her note from Mr. B! Note he even nabbed a carrot from the fridge!
One of the places a clue was found!
She was so proud she found all of the clues, and the basket!
Some of the loot-she is obsessed with Chuggington, and can name every.single.train that has ever been on an episode. It may seem like she is spoiled with presents in place of candy. Well-she is spoiled. It's not intentional-it just happens. Second and most importantly-while it may seem costly-one look at the cost of dentistry will show you we are saving money in the long run.
This is what childhood is all about.
We got dressed and headed down to Grammy and Grandad's house to see if Mr. B had left eggs in the yard. Uhh-yes, to the tune of 103 eggs!!! ;)
Her Easter dress that was on all of 30 minutes :) It was a soggy day so we put on comfy clothes.
Getting ready to go huntin' eggs....did you know you can get your kid to smile really nice if you tell her she can't go get eggs until you see a nice smile?? I mean, I would never do that, but I hear it works.
Now that's a basket!
Favorite picture of the day.
Pure joy.
Umm-did anyone else remember such a HOT Easter?? We were boiling! Look at those rosy cheeks!
It was such a nice day, we decided to open up the Easter present from mommy and daddy-a t-ball set! She started out with help, but in no time shooed daddy away.
The rain washed away her outdoor fun so it was time for Easter egg dying.
Is Easter egg dying any fun without a spill?
Momma and Cayleigh..
A rare sighting of Mommy and Daddy sans the kid...
The finished product.

i love the clue idea! might steal that one! my kids got all presents/no candy for easter, and the eggs I did make up had silly bandz, stickers, money, and other little toy things. got to love the peanut allergy ruining all the candy holidays.
