School days..
Where has the time gone?? I swear this child is growing up much faster than I did.

In the weeks before school started, I was very nervous at how she was going to do. She didn't want to talk about it, she didn't care her Aunt Mandy would be a teacher, she didn't care she would meet other kids. As the time drew closer, her attitude changed a bit. The night before she couldn't sleep because she was nervous, but the morning of she was a champ. She got herself dressed and never looked back.
How was I??
Take a look at my face...

I was a blubbering mess.
I tried SOO hard, but anyone who knows me knows there isn't a milestone in Cayleigh's life I don't get emotional about.
Someone else has his feelings a bit more in check. :)

and the one who you'd think would be the teary eyed one, was most certainly not.

She insisted on this outfit and mainly these shoes-my little fashionista in the making! :)

We dropped her off and the teacher shooed us out before we could give a kiss and hug, but as I was walking out(yes, the tears came as soon as my foot left the room) I looked and she never even looked back for us. Heartbreaking to a momma, but also comforting to know she wasn't upset we left.
She is almost 2 weeks in and she is doing great. She goes 4 days a week, 4 hours a day. We haven't had one tear shed since, and she absolutely loves it. They say she is one of the most behaved kids in the class, which is astonishing to me, as behavior wasn't always her strong point at our house. I am SO proud of her and thankful we waited to 4 years old because it seemed to be such a great fit as she just seemed ready.

Day 2 and 3 outfits :)
