Seven....

I wanted to take a minute to jot down some things about Cayleigh. She is growing so fast and though I feel like I try so hard to soak in all of our time, I know I am forgetting the little things so here goes:

-She is in love with her puppy, Scout(who I've yet to formally introduce on here-whoops!). They have a sibling relationship where they like to get each other into a bit of trouble, but at the end of the day, she is his person.

-She loves drawing and creating things. She will sit and draw, trace, paint, color, etc. anything you let her.  She mostly loves giving her creations away and seeing the look on someone's face as they receive it.

-She will "jam" anywhere. In a car, in our living room, at a store-if the beat is there, she is going to dance! Currently Taylor Swift's "Shake it off" is her favorite.

-She doesn't play with many toys, when given the option she ALWAYS chooses outdoors. She loves to ride her bike(now on 2 wheels!), go on the barbie jeep that she has sadly almost outgrown, take a run around our neighborhood circle, climb trees.

-She still lets me pick out her clothes and hasn't figured out she has a choice in the matter.

-She is oh so sensitive like her momma. She is kind to her friends, and is really beginning to sort out which friends are kind to her. Just the other day a group of kids in her class laughed about something, but one friend did not and she said that really meant something to her.

-She is a beast at soccer. She is tough and knocks down kids at times, but I think she really likes being the oldest at something since she always one of the youngest at school, at girl scouts, etc.

-She is currently growing out her hair because she wants to donate it. It hasn't been cut in over a year and though it is SOO knotty sometimes, I love that she thought of it on her own.

-She still gets sad about leaving to go to school. She would give up her friends in a heartbeat to hang out with us. I don't know how long it will last, but even though I have to grumble to her about going to school, it melts my heart to know she loves us deeply.

-Back to Scout, before we decided on a dog the deal was she was to do all puppy cleanup outside. She promised and promised, but I figured she was 6 and it would last for a week. To this day, she has kept her word and cleans up almost daily his outdoor "gifts".

-She loves all cooking shows. She will watch that most of the time over a cartoon and has for a while. She loves Restaurant Impossible, any of the competition shows on Food network, Pioneer Woman. She even asked for a cookbook for Christmas. I ask her all the time if she thinks she might to be a chef and she says no way, too much pressure!

-Currently she has her sights set on becoming a park ranger or horse trainer and tells me all the time she doesn't want to go away to college because it means she won't live with us. I tell her she may change her mind but she says no way.

-She now says having a sibling wouldn't be so bad.....as long as it was a girl. She said we would have to give a boy back to the hospital and try again. But she also says she is happy without! :)
