Oh the weather outside is frightful!

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!

Last night we decided to do our last minute Christmas shopping because we had heard there was going to be some bad weather headed our way. I pretty much ignore all forecasts because they are NEVER right, but just in case, didn't want to be stuck going to the mall the week of Christmas. We also went to cracker barrel to enjoy a bit of freedom out of our house in case we were snowed in..

Looks like we called that right!! As of 1pm today we had a foot of snow with it still coming down hard! We played outside this morning but it was coming down too hard to enjoy it for too long so we went to the grocery store just to see what it was like out(and because it is less than a mile away and we have a 4x4)and the roads were awful!

Came home and made some spaghetti and meatballs and slow cooker chicken taco soup . We are just relaxing now, but this evening are going to make some sugar cookies and decorate them!

Enjoying the snow! It was so windy and coming right in her face though and that was bugging her. I think we won't take her out again until tomorrow...

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. Yes, there were raw eggs, and no, I don't think it will kill her. Our finished product! I might add this was my best batch of cookies EVER! Playing with her pics.... I should add there will be no post tomorrow, because I am going with Pam and her family to the Dancing with the Stars show(the tour, not the actual show). I am SO excited!!!! 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
