Mother's day

I had a wonderful Mother's day weekend. A couple weeks ago Matt surprised me with taking a Friday off and although almost making me pee the bed with fright when my bedroom doorknob turned, it turned out to be a great day full of shopping and family time-not necessarily in that order. ;)\ Fast forwarding to this past weekend we spent time at my mom's house, we picked up my sister from college, went strawberry picking and spent the whole day cutting tree clipping, power washing the house, relaxing with our feet up.....believe whatever story you want :) We were happy to do it and it was a tiny payback for all of the years of sacrifices my mom has made for us. We are the luckiest people on the planet to have her as a mom, and I hope one day Cayleigh thinks of me as half the mom my momma has been.

My little family Photobucket Sunday Matt and Cayleigh did every dish, made me pancakes and bacon for breakfast, took me to walmart and made marinated salmon, roasted onion, and corn on the cob, followed by my favorite-coca cola cake The highlight of my weekend was definitely getting my mother's day gifts from Cayleigh she made at school. As per usual, I cried. Photobucket There is nothing more amazing, and nothing more significant I will ever do in my life than be a mom. It is the hardest yet easiest job I've had, the least rewarding(monetarily) yet most rewarding job I've had. I love being a mom more than I love to breathe. I don't think words can truly describe the feelings I have about being a mom to that little girl. And for comparison-here are links to 2011 and 2010 and even 2009. This is the reason my blog goes on!
