Busy baker and bruises..

What a beautiful weekend we had! We actually stuck around the house this weekend, venturing out only to a few stores and the park..I love this time of year, perhaps more than any other time. I do feel so lucky to actually love the area I live in and the climate that goes with it. We get every season, a beautiful crisp fall with gorgeous foilage, a cold but not bitter winter with enough snow but rarely too much, a gorgeous spring that warms you from the winter, and a nice hot summer that makes you ready for the beach, which isn't that far away! But back to fall, I just love the leaves beginning to change, being able to sleep with your windows open, football on the TV, pumpkin patches, and so much more!

Saturday we spent alot of the day cooking. We made chicken noodle, chicken taco soup, and a banana cake. We froze half and are enjoying the other half now! That cake is a-maz-ing!!!

What wasn't amazing was me dropping the pyrex glass 9x13 full of cake on my foot. Sigh. It is even more bruised now and the whole foot is swollen.

These days Minnie is traveling everywhere we go. Minnie also eats whatever we eat, pees on the potty, takes naps, etc.

OUCH!! I hope your foot is feeling better. I love her little Jersey, do have to say though I am not fond of the team since we are Eagles fans in our house.

Day 2 of the snow....

Today we got a batch of ice which so nicely laid over our 2-3 inches of snow. Luckily, I was off and didn't have to call in! Matt went to work a couple hours late so I made a big breakfast with eggs, bacon, homefries, toast, and orange slices! We played and watched a good bit of TV, I'm not proud to say, but with Matt fighting a cold, and me with a headache again, I decided to make it a low key day and she was thrilled! After her morning nap and lunch, "we" decided to surprise daddy with some cookies. I let her watch me and she helped stir and lick the beater. 10 is...

I decided to pop back into my blog and reminisce, and boy is it sad. All of my pictures are gone, thanks to a company wanting $400 to publish them. At least I have my words...On that note, I thought I'd write a bit of what 10 looks like: -Eating a bowl of cereal and a pop tart EVERY morning -Really starting to cooking unassisted. She made a 2 layer cake this week and thanks to a 2 hour delay I got pancakes. Teaching her to cook has been pretty cool.  -Begging me for a cup of coffee because she wants to be grown up. I let her have 1/2 a cup here and there-they say it stunts your growth. I say she is 5 foot 2 inches now so that's a lie. -Texting her friends and playing computer games with them as much as she is allowed. -Watching Hallmark movies day and night with me and Marvel movies with her dad. 8/21 and 8/22...

Two years ago today I was headed to the hospital ready to have my baby... At 1:02pm on August 22nd, we had our beautiful baby girl... It changed our lives forever. Cayleigh(aka-Kiwi, pee-wee, lovebug, etc) we love you so much and feel so blessed to have you as our little girl. Your sweetness and kindness is so beautiful, and your hugs and kisses mean more than you will ever know. Watching you grow and learn new things every day makes us so proud, and it remind us to slow down and look at life the way you see it.
